I don't know if it sounds like trouble, but it doesn't sound good either. He didn't seem very inclined to actually ask you anything himself. It was strange.
[She has no idea what that means, but if he's telling her to ignore it, then it probably wasn't anything good. And since this is text she's c/ping that to look it up later.]
Do you want me to let you know if he asks any more questions about you?
[Which isn't to say that she's trying to generalize it. Just that a lot of people have complicated pasts, and that if he doesn't want to, then he doesn't need to offer her any more than that.
I was in a world once where the people in charge tried to have everyone they considered a mutant killed. But mutants there were anyone that had special abilities, or something that made them look like they might not be human.
[So that's it. The difference isn't that they have abilities, but it's built into their bodies. From the moment they're born, there's something different about a "mutant" than everyone else.
Even so, he's right. The danger probably isn't much different, and neither is the way people treat you.]
It doesn't seem fair.
[Which may be a little stupid to say, she supposes. She's aware that very few things are fair.]

Someone on the Network is asking about you. They say they're from your world.
[ text ]
Why, did it sound like trouble?
[ text ]
[ text ]
This guy got a name, petite?
[ text ]
His ID says Nathan Summers.
[ text ] 1/3
[ text ]
[ text ]
He's a bit nosy and self-righteous, but not dangerous.
[ text ]
Do you want me to let you know if he asks any more questions about you?
[ text ]
I don't know that he will. Being so open isn't his style, normally.
But I appreciate it.
[ text ]
Outside of the post, he isn't being very open at all. It's a little strange.
[ text ]
We just have a complicated past.
( He feels he owes her some kind of explanation, but he's not sure how to broach it. )
[ text ]
[Which isn't to say that she's trying to generalize it. Just that a lot of people have complicated pasts, and that if he doesn't want to, then he doesn't need to offer her any more than that.
Then, after a pause,]
He's saying he's worried about you.
[ text ]
Which means he's worried about what I'm up to.
[ text ]
[One of those types...]
I'll try to keep the conversation with him brief.
[ text ]
( A bit of mutant cattiness there, perhaps? )
But like I said, he shouldn't be trouble. Just the world's biggest pain.
[ text ]
He can do that?
[A pause. That didn't sound like a good reaction.]
Has he done it to you?

Is it the same for your world?
[ text ]
There are a lot of different ways to get powers, or abilities. With mutants its all the same--our genes. We're a separate species. Homo superior.
( And even as he types that, he rolls his eyes. He's never been one for the superiority rhetoric. )
But the prejudice is probably the same. The danger. Most people don't like us, much, no matter what we do.
[ text ]
Even so, he's right. The danger probably isn't much different, and neither is the way people treat you.]
It doesn't seem fair.
[Which may be a little stupid to say, she supposes. She's aware that very few things are fair.]
I'm sorry your world is like that.
[ text ]
( And despite all, it's home. He rather likes it, most days. )
[ text ]
I think you're right.
If he can read minds, can you do that too?
