I don't know if it sounds like trouble, but it doesn't sound good either. He didn't seem very inclined to actually ask you anything himself. It was strange.

I don't know that he will. Being so open isn't his style, normally. But I appreciate it.

I was in a world once where the people in charge tried to have everyone they considered a mutant killed. But mutants there were anyone that had special abilities, or something that made them look like they might not be human.

Is it the same for your world?

Similar, I suppose. There are a lot of different ways to get powers, or abilities. With mutants its all the same--our genes. We're a separate species. Homo superior.

But the prejudice is probably the same. The danger. Most people don't like us, much, no matter what we do.

[So that's it. The difference isn't that they have abilities, but it's built into their bodies. From the moment they're born, there's something different about a "mutant" than everyone else.

Even so, he's right. The danger probably isn't much different, and neither is the way people treat you.]

It doesn't seem fair.
